Holiday Wear with Winter Wear Designs

Today I have a Carousel Christmas Sister Set! My oldest doesn't like to model for me anymore, but she couldn't resist the matching outfits with her little sister, and I'm so pleased. They're so cute!

I have "formal" ideas for Christmas dresses, but when I started thinking about a more casual look, the Carousel Collection came to mind. There are dress and tunic options, a fun circle skirt, sleeveless and sleeved bodices, and a legging addition (that can also be built into the skirt for a skort if desired).

All my fabrics come from Raspberry Creek Fabrics & Custom Printing. Diana just started adding double brushed poly to her selections, so I picked up the fun plaid deer print and the black polka dot, and then a cotton spandex red polka dot. The dresses are both lined in their matching legging fabrics, so the girls can differentiate whose is whose.

I managed to squeeze two tunics out of 2 yards of the DBP! I had to forgo sleeves, but that'll be fine because I have some cute little shrugs planned to go over them. :) The leggings are separate pieces, and I like that the dots are neutral enough to go with a lot of other things in their wardrobe as well, so these outfits can go a lot further.

I'm so thankful to Suzanne for giving me the Carousel Collection pattern - not only for the purposes of this tour, but it really pushed me to think ahead and now my girls have some holiday wear (and I'm not waiting until the very last minute for once!) December will be less stress. ;)

You can pick up this pattern collection for yourself (and make sure you see all the inspiration posts this week, there are a lot of great patterns to grab) during the Thank You sale - running November 19-26, there are two different codes to make sure you can stock up as many WWD patterns as possible for the best prices! For 35% off all patterns AND pattern bundles, use code THANKYOU2018. (This offer does exclude the WW Wardrobe Builders, as they are already set at low prices.) 1. They look great! Did you do different necklines for each dress? Lining the bodice with the corresponding legging fabric was really clever!
