A Vision to Remember Blog Tour: Lexi Lou Rag Purse

Header 00

Today I'm showing off something that isn't clothes! It's the Lexi Lou Rag Purse from A Vision to Remember. This is a fun, playful bag, and the most difficult part about putting it together is clipping all the edges to get that "raggy" look!

I had to jump on this tour when given the chance, because I wanted to stretch my skills. This pattern is a great introduction to making bags. It includes a little quilt-as-you-go (outer pockets), interfacing, and zipper installation, but none of it is scary! The instructions have been written and rewritten to make sure that anyone with a basic knowledge of sewing could put this bag together (and someone afraid of sewing bags, too!)

Three pockets inside the bag...
Two pockets out! There's a space for everything and anything.
I love how using so many complimentary fabrics makes this bag look whimsical while still looking pulled together. It's a great place to showcase favorite little bits of fabric, or special scraps you've been saving for that one unknown project.

Join seven seamstresses as we sew up the new Lexi Lou bag from A Vision to Remember. There will be one or two bloggers each day, be sure to visit them all as no two bags are the same!
*NOTE* The links below won’t show the tour posts until their day of the tour, but you are encouraged to click through and check their blogs out.

    1. Thank you!! It's just such a fun pattern to put together, and the finished product is amazing fresh out of the dryer :) All that clipping really pays off!

    1. Hahaha! I just picked two main fabrics and went through my FQ bin for the rest! No rhyme or reason other than color family...
