Today I'm showing off something that isn't clothes! It's the Lexi Lou Rag Purse from A Vision to Remember. This is a fun, playful bag, and the most difficult part about putting it together is clipping all the edges to get that "raggy" look!
I had to jump on this tour when given the chance, because I wanted to stretch my skills. This pattern is a great introduction to making bags. It includes a little quilt-as-you-go (outer pockets), interfacing, and zipper installation, but none of it is scary! The instructions have been written and rewritten to make sure that anyone with a basic knowledge of sewing could put this bag together (and someone afraid of sewing bags, too!)
Three pockets inside the bag... |
Two pockets out! There's a space for everything and anything. |
*NOTE* The links below won’t show the tour posts until their day of the tour, but you are encouraged to click through and check their blogs out.
Be sure to leave a comment each day to be entered to win a free pattern. Each blogger will be choosing one comment from their blog to receive a free pattern from A Vision to Remember.
Oh My! I seriously am in love with it!! It would be perfect for a diaper bag for a boy or a girl!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! It's just such a fun pattern to put together, and the finished product is amazing fresh out of the dryer :) All that clipping really pays off!
DeleteIt looks like you were going through my fabric stash with those fabric choices! Haha! Thanks for the inspiration to pair fabrics from different lines together.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I just picked two main fabrics and went through my FQ bin for the rest! No rhyme or reason other than color family...
