Today's theme is "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas". Thankfully we just put our tree up a couple of days ago, and although I have pitifully few ornaments on it at the moment, it still makes me happy just to see it. Somehow the majority of our ornaments didn't make it back from Jacksonville with us, but they were just plastic store-bought red and green balls anyway, so I'm not that sad about it. I'm thinking of going with gold and silver this year anyway!
So here is my photo today! (It was actually taken a few days ago, shhh.) I don't know if that matters, but this is my blog so I'll do what I want! :p *ahem* Anyway.
It says First Christmas Together 2010, which is technically true but kind of a lie. It was our first Christmas married, yes. Our first Christmas actually together wasn't until last year, as Dave was deployed in both 2010 and 2011. And this Christmas will be our first with all our family! My siblings are coming home from all over - Wyoming, Arizona, and North Dakota - and Dave's family lives here (except for a sister, brother-in-law, and oh-so-cute little niece) - so we'll have plenty of company (or houses to go to and be the company)!
With the tree up, a little Nativity on my shelf, and stockings being hung soon, it IS beginning to look like Christmas - a little, anyway! Still working on Sam's stocking...hopefully I have it done in time! I know she won't notice, or care, but I will. 23 days to go...eek!
